iMedia recently launched their latest marketing initiative in the Bluetooth space.  The concept of a mobile billboard has been extended to reach all the way to a potential customer’s cell phone. WCIT is providing the technological platform that enables the mobile bill board to extend its reach via Bluetooth.

The motor vehicle and trailer is fitted out with a mobile Bluetooth transmitter which broadcasts content to accepting cell phones in the immediate area. The Bluemobile is driven to a high traffic site and parked near an intersection, preferably at peak traffic times when drives are stuck in their cars with nothing to do.

Mobile content relating to the mall sponsoring the Bluemobile is then offered to accepting cell phones. The content is designed to encourage customers to visit the mall. Via a sophisticated data management system the mall can then correlate between the messages that were accepted via the Bluemobile and how many of those phones were detected in the mall.

This allows the mall to build an accurate profile on their marketing initiatives.
